What really happens when we go to church?
Church is a place of fellowship. However, it’s not just a place of fellowship with ourselves.
1Jn1:3 says “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and TRULY OUR FELLOWSHIP is with the FATHER , and with his SON JESUS Christ“
So when we come out of church we should be talking about what the FATHER SAID TO US and what HE DID in our midst and that experience should remain with us for days until we come to fellowship again.
If indeed our fellowship is with the TRINITY , we will have many things to share with each other after church service about what the Father said to us.
The church is neither a club ,hospital or a school. It is a place of experience!
If we come out the same way we enter a church then we have not have fellowship with the Father , Son and Holy Spirit.
Every time of fellowship should transform us!
Jesus said , For where two or three are gathered in My name [meeting together as My followers], I am there among them – Matt18:20. We should approach the place of fellowship with a mindset that Jesus would be there. When we are late for any reason , we need to apologise to the master and not keep him waiting next time after all the Queen waits for no one. Why should we keep Jesus waiting.
We must honour Jesus at our meetings so he can also honour us. Whatever we will not do when people in position of authority is in attendance …like checking our phone, not paying attention , we should not do this during the time of fellowship.
We must come to the place of fellowship with a notepad and pen to take notes because the Father wants to tell us what eyes have not seen and what ears have not heard.
Our fellowship is not with the brethren/or the Pastor but with the Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. I pray that the Lord will give you understanding.
What do you think about this post?
What will you do differently going forward?
I will like to hear from you.
