Don’t pray like them, STOP praying from your head!

You are not the only one left or going through difficult times or having a great time. There are people who have passed through the same experience and there others going through whatever you are going through right now.

Cheer up we will all be fine!

May the God of peace that raised our Lord Jesus Christ from death raise you up, give you peace at all times and in every way, put you where you need to be and give you what you need to have and settled you. Amen.

There are many thoughts in my heart today.

Firstly, Jesus said, “Narrow is the way that leads to Eternal life and only few shall find” Matt7:14 May you be among the few.

We dwell on Matt6:7-8 at our Bible study recently. Jesus said ” Do not pray like them -unbelievers, for your heavenly father knows what you need before you ask”.

Suddenly, it occured to me that we don’t pray like people who understand this scripture. This is a major problem we have it comes to pray.

Do you even know God said before they call (ask in prayer) I will answer them -Isa65:24.

We talk too much when we pray!!!

When we ask things from people, we wait for them to respond to our request and maybe ask a follow up questions.

When it comes to God, WE TREAT HIM LIKE HE CANNOT TALK!

Do you know God has more to say to you about your challenge than what you know or what to tell him?

Most time we pray to God like his Spirit is not in us to tell us what God knows about our needs how God wants to help us.

My friend, the way we pray to God needs to change!

We need to stop praying from our HEAD and start PRAYING FROM our HEART.

James 5 said, the heartfelt prayer of the righteous makes power available.
It is the words that comes from our heart (spirit man) based on what is inspired by the Holy Spirit that gives life and makes an impact when we pray and not the shout!

Rom8:26 says we do not know how to say the right words in prayers but the Holy Spirit will help us say the right words.

Some of us even quote scriptures without understanding …Hmmm

What we do most times in prayer is repetition or pray like our spiritual leaders (Pastors and Imams) thinking that will move God.
Jesus said, we need to stop praying like this! Matt6:8.

We need to start praying differently as from today.

We need to ask the Holy Spirit for what to say in prayer and say the words the Holy Spirit put in our hearts and not what is in our heads.

God connects with our heart not our head.
