I pray that God will help you understand faith, it’s purpose and how it works.

I pray that by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.

Friends, there are many things we don’t understand. That is why we need to pray for understanding!

Please don’t let tradition rule you out of the will God.

Tradition is from men and the reason it started is not even clear or make sense and it makes the word of God of no effect.

Some say I don’t do things because of what people says but actually you are where you are today because of tradition and culture.

What GOD thinks is more important than what people says!

The only one that can declare whether something is right or wrong is the Holy Spirit and we get to know this through revelation as we study the word of God.

I started this devotional text messages called ‘Textword” in 2008. God told me “Put my word on people’s mobile phone because they are not reading my word”
That sounded ridiculous because I don’t know what people are doing. Secondly , I didn’t have enough money to support the project – unlimited text wasnt cheap and there was no WhatsApp!

God told me, I’ve asked some people to do it but they didn’t. I must confess I have not been faithful in doing it every day because of work schedule but the Lord will help me. Pray for me!

Our message today is about doing what the Lord says.

The Lord spoke to Peter 3 times to do what he has never done before but he refused because he was more concerned about what people will say – Acts10:14-16, Acts11.

God will sometimes ask us to do unsual things because he created all things for his pleasure. He told Hosea (a prophet) to marry a prostitude! Hos1:2

When God asks us to do something, don’t think about tradition or culture , think about God will say!.

This is why we need to walk by faith because Faith reveals the mind of God to us.

Peter (Apostle) missed the opportunity of leading the preaching of the gospel to the gentiles.
This assignment was given to someone else – Paul!

Also because Saul refused to destroy the Amalekites as instructed by God, he was removed as a king and the throne was given to another person who delights in doing God’s will (David).

Obedience is better than sacrifice!

If you don’t understand why God has put something in your heart to do or why he is leading you to do something, please pray for understanding.
God will do want he wants to do with or without us.
