When I checked the history of the people that God used, I realised they were not perfect but they all had faith based on a personal encounter with God.

They were even not qualify – How can a teeanager defeat someone that had been a warrior since he was a youth (Goliath!).

Do you remembered David was an adulterer who covered his sin by committing murder. Yet, Jesus still came through him!

Would you still listen to the message of a Pastor that commit adultery? So why are you reading Psalms written by David?

Abraham was a liar and he commited adultery and yet God still kept his covenant of making him a great nation. We still claim the blessing of Abraham today!

Of course, the 2 examples above is not a liberty to sin but to help us realise it’s only God that can help us!!!

Everything is all about God!

God used a poor widow to feed a prophet when there was a famine for 3 years – hmmmm, it is not about what you have but what you are willing to yield to God!

God qualifies those he chose!!!

Gideon came from a poor family and God used him to defeat a great army. Being poor or coming from a poor family is not an excuse.

It is very important to know that everything in life is about God!

It is what God asked you to do that makes you right with him and not just what we think.

Our faith in God and his son Jesus Christ is what makes us right with God(Roman5:1)

Faith is doing things God personally put in your heart.

That is why you must learn to hear God for yourself.

You can quote what everybody says but when you are faced with a situation that looks like a Goliath ( a man in the Bible), IT IS WHAT YOU PERSONALLY KNOW ABOUT GOD THAT WILL SAVE YOU.

David said to Saul, “There were times when I was taking care of my father’s sheep that wild animals came to take some sheep from the flock. Once there was a lion and another time, a bear. I chased that wild animal, attacked it, and took the sheep from its mouth. The wild animal jumped on me, but I caught it by the fur under its mouth. And I hit it and killed it. The LORD SAVED ME FROM the LION and the BEAR. HE will also save me from this Philistine. “Saul said to David, “Go and may the Lord be with you.”

When you remember how God healed you of headache , you can depend on him to remove a terminal illness.

It is important you have PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH THE LORD and not God of the Bishop, GO or IMAM or your Spiritual Leader!.

The theme of our Prayer and fasting for 2023 is “Encounter for Transformation”.

Paul said ” And lastly the Lord appeared to ME ALSO -1Cor15:7-8″ . Of course he was not the last person that had an encounter with the Lord.

You also will have an encounter with the Lord that will transform your life!
