God said, Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.
Isaiah 43:1-2 AMPC

So why would God allow one to go through the Fire and Water?

Fire purifies! Whatever is not meant to be in your life will be consumed by fire.

Sometimes, we need a painful experience to take a decision that will prevent future sorrow.

It is better to separate from someone now than to later regret you didn’t take the decision at the right time!

It is through that Water can overwhelmed one but when I think about what happened when the Israelites crossed the red sea, I realised that sometimes it is good to pass through water.

Water will make whatever is not meant to be in your life go away!!!

That is why Eph5:26 – Sanctify and cleanse with the washing of water by the WORD.

There are people, things, idea, convictions ….that you need to wash off with the water of the word of God!

I believe God took the children of Israel through the Red Sea for some reasons;

1. To drown Pharaoh and his men so they will no longer torment the Israelites. 
2.To serve as a great warning  to the kings on the other side of the red sea. Rahab told the spies "we heard how God dried the water of the red sea and we are afraid of you"

God will do something for you that will make people fear the name of the Lord!.

Are you passing through something that looks like a fire now? – you will come out better and beautiful like a gold.

Are you going through an overwhelming situation now, this experience will make you stronger and better and you will not be afraid of whatever may come your way again.
