This is the first thing that God hates.

Pride is something that most people don’t admit to and it’s dangerous.

Pride stirs up strife and where there is strife there is confusion and every evil work.Pr28:25,Jam3:16

God resists the proud!

A proud person cannot come near the throne of grace to get help from God.

A gentle person can be proud!

When you think too highly of yourself, you are proud.

When you expect people to serve you because of who you are or what you have done, you are proud.

A man who cannot do house chores is proud and so is also a woman who does not respect her husband.

A proud person refuses help when he needs one.

When you only obey because of the consequences of disobedience, you are proud.

When you are too bothered about losing your right or reputation, you are proud.

A child that thinks his or her parents are too old school is proud.

If you don’t pray regularly you are proud. You are simply saying “God I will only call you when I need you. I think I can handle some things myself.”

God works against the proud, the danger is that you may not know you are proud.

James 4:6 (amp) But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation].
Therefore, it says, God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].
