Ministry is an opportunity for people to do something for the Lord. The key thing in this chapter  is that everyone who participated in building the wall had their names written in the record book for others to read.   This is a great lesson for us as leaders. Are we just leading the people to take the glory for ourselves  or we are leading to let others take credit for their work. Key lessons from this chapters are as follows ;

1. Our work is being recorded.  1 Corinthians 3:13 (ERV) But the work that each person does will be clearly seen, because the Day will make it plain. That Day will appear with fire, and the fire will test everyone’s work. Paul said to the Philippian church –  Philippians 4:17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
2. We will give an account Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God
   1. Someone will give an account over us –  Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
3. Our work will be rewarded. This something people don’t think about again in the church today. We only think about the reward here on earth.  – 2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
