Sometimes we think God has forgotten us. We judge God’s faithfulness by material prosperity. We loose sight of our heavenly reward and the crown we are going to get.  God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister – Heb 6:10.

Jesus started his letter to the church at Ephesus by telling them the good works they have done. He said I know what you do, how hard you work and never give up. I know that you don’t accept evil people. You have tested those who say they are apostles but are not. You found that they are liars. You never stop trying. You have endured troubles for my name and have not given up.

However, he had something against this church – they have left the love they had in the beginning. They lost their passion! So he told them to  remember where they were before you fell. Isn’t it amazing that this church didn’t know they have fallen? There are many in the church today that have  a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. 1. Jesus said  I have this against you: “You have ·left [abandoned] ·the love you had in the beginning [or your first love]. You’ve lost your passion. You are not as excited as you used to be. You are no longer living by faith“. 
   • You’ve lost your passion. You are not as excited as you used to be.
   • You know longer live by faith- The only Rhema word you have now is what you get from other people.
   • You don’t speak up for God again like you used to. Sinners re comfortable around you.
   • We need a good reason to tell you to tithe, give offering
   • You only pray when there is an emergency and 90% of your prayer points is about you and your family.
   • The only bible you have now is the one on your mobile phone and you visit the social sites more than you visit the bible. 
   • Going for evangelism has become a thing of the past. You have never even visited the prison.
   • You don’t even noticed it again when fellow belier are hungry or when they need help
2. The truth is that you were not like this before but something happened that made you loose your confidence in God. It’s time to go back to your first love for Jesus. So don’t lose the courage that you had in the past. Your courage will be rewarded richly. 36 You must be patient. After you have done what God wants, you will get what he promised you -Heb10:38-39

I know that you don’t accept evil people. You have tested those who say they are apostles but are not. You found that they are liars. You never stop trying. You have endured troubles for my name and have not given up.  “But I have this against you: You have left the love you had in the beginning.  So remember where you were before you fell. Change your hearts and do what you did at first. If you don’t change, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
