I pray the Lord will make you whole- spirit, soul and body in Jesus name. He will refresh your soul.
The Lord will give you people that will minister to your soul and comfort you.

Let’s talk about our “Needs” and “Wants”

Do you realise human wants are insatiable?

We don’t really know what we want sometimes – is that correct?

Our “need” is the bigger picture and what we “want” is what we can see now.

Hmmm, God always wants us to see what we “need” but we always ask him what we “want”.

A lady will ask God for a tall, romantic and possibly rich guy but later realise in life she actually needs a man of faith that will help with house work , take care of the family and be there all the time.

I wont tell you what a guy wants in a lady but he will realise later in life he needs someone who will take care of him like a good mother does ( not abandon him).

Jesus said in Matt6:8 that when we pray, our heavenly father knows what we need but we don’t really listen to what he has to say about our need because we just want him to give us what we want. This is the challenge!

Some have married wrongly because they didn’t think about the bigger Picture! Also, some don’t appreciate the spouse they have now because they only think about what they want and not the bigger picture!

We all have transport need – move from point A-B.
God can either give you a neighbor that will meet that need, get you a bicycle, a car or expect you to walk ( because you actually need it for your health) or transport you supernaturally like he did for Philip in Acts8. However, someone wants the latest SUV that you can’t even maintain. Some drives car that can pay for the cost the house they are living in right now . Hmmmm

When we pray, we expect God to always give us what we want. However, he takes care of our need.

Abraham wanted a son that will inherit what he had but God wanted to raise a generation through him. Of course he had other children but we only know about 2 (Isaac& Ishmael).
Sorry Abraham actually had just ONE child according to God- read Gen22:2.

Since what we want always change with time, it’s better to focus on what our needs.

One need I want you to think about today is the “SALVATION OF YOUR SOUL”

We use our faith to get what we want and meet out earthly needs. However, we must never loose focus of the end of our Faith – Salvation of our souls1Pet1:9
